Under the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act, Barnard College is required to alert the campus community to certain crimes that pose a continuing danger to the campus community in a manner that is timely and will aid in the prevention of similar crimes.

Preparedness efforts related to fire and life safety, crime prevention, and emergency preparation, remind students and employees of resources and personal responsibility to take prudent precautions. and inform members of the community of practices of the CARES Department and other campus stakeholders to contribute to a comprehensive approach to safety.
